Arrive in Urumqi and meet your driver or tour representative for a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest or explore independently.
Travel from Urumqi to Turpan and visit a karez irrigation system and a local vineyard to learn how water and oasis farming sustain life in the basin. Continue to Turpan and check in at your hotel.
Choose one of two Turpan sightseeing routes. One visits Jiaohe Ancient City and Flaming Mountains; the other visits Gaochang Ancient City, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves and Tuyoq Village.
Travel from Turpan to Kumtag Desert and explore the landscape of dunes at the edge of the oasis. Continue to Shanshan for the night, with optional camel riding or a desert shuttle experience.
Travel from Shanshan toward Urumqi or Turpan, according to your onward plans. The journey ends at the confirmed drop-off point, with timing depending on the selected route and transport arrangement.
