Terms & booking conditions

The conditions for using our website and arranging a trip with Manjing Travel, including booking, payment, changes, cancellation and photography during your journey.

Last updated 13 October 2026

1. About Manjing Travel and these conditions

These conditions explain how you can use the Manjing Travel website and the general terms for travel services arranged through us. The legal entity responsible for your booking will be identified in your written quotation and travel contract or booking confirmation.

Please read these conditions together with your itinerary, quotation, booking confirmation and any service-specific conditions provided before you book. Those documents set out your particular arrangements, including prices, payment deadlines, cancellation charges and any special requests we have agreed to meet. A different arrangement applies only where both parties have agreed to it in writing. Nothing in these documents removes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Our business address is 10th Floor, Building 1, No. 3 Jialing Road, Wuhou District, Chengdu, Sichuan, China, 610000. For questions about these conditions, contact [email protected].

2. Website use and travel enquiries

Our website helps you explore destinations, review trip ideas and request a personalised proposal. Sending an enquiry, receiving an automated reply or discussing a trip does not, by itself, confirm a booking, reserve a service or require you to pay. Payment arrangements are agreed separately during the booking process.

Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information. Do not submit fraudulent requests, impersonate someone else, interfere with the website or try to access another person's information. Travel information and sample itineraries help you plan; your agreed booking documents describe the services we undertake to provide.

3. Quotations, prices and what is included

Your written quotation will explain the travel dates, number of travellers, currency, price basis, validity period and included services. Check whether the price is per person or for the whole group, and whether it assumes a shared or single room. Availability remains subject to confirmation, and a quotation does not hold hotels, tickets or other services unless we expressly confirm a hold and its expiry.

Only services expressly included in the agreed itinerary and quotation are included in your price. These may cover accommodation, guides, transport, admission tickets, meals or other arrangements. International flights, visas, insurance, optional activities, personal purchases, tips and hotel incidentals are excluded unless the written documents state otherwise. We will disclose mandatory charges collected by us before you commit to the booking.

Changes to dates, group size, rooms or requested services can change a quotation. We will explain any revised price before you accept it. If we discover a pricing or description error, we will contact you to resolve it. A website error does not give us an unrestricted right to change an agreed booking.

4. Booking and confirmation

When you are ready to book, we will explain how to accept the offer, any payment required and which arrangements remain subject to supplier confirmation. The agreement is formed through the acceptance process stated in your written offer or travel contract. An enquiry acknowledgement or payment receipt alone does not show that every requested service has been confirmed.

The person making the booking must have legal capacity to enter into the agreement and authority to arrange the trip for the other travellers. They must share the itinerary, conditions and relevant updates with everyone included in the booking. Personal permissions, including permission to use an adult traveller's image for marketing, must come from that person or someone legally authorised to give them.

Check names, dates, destinations, rooms and services when you receive your confirmation, and report discrepancies promptly. Keep a copy of your accepted documents. If a material service cannot be secured, we will explain alternatives and any price difference before you decide whether to accept revised arrangements.

5. Deposits, balances and payment

Your written booking documents will state any deposit, balance deadline, payment currency, accepted payment methods and applicable fees. There is no single deposit percentage or payment timetable for every trip. Some services require earlier payment; we will explain those requirements before you commit.

Use only the payment instructions supplied for your booking. Verify an unexpected change in payment details with your established Manjing Travel contact before transferring funds. Do not send card security codes, account passwords or banking credentials through an enquiry form or ordinary email. Your bank or payment provider may charge for transfers or currency conversion; any charge collected by us will be disclosed in advance.

Contact us promptly if you may miss a payment deadline. Any release of reservations or cancellation for non-payment will follow the agreed conditions and applicable law, including any notice required. We will explain how this affects your arrangements and any amount already paid.

6. Changes requested by you

Request changes in writing, with your booking reference and the details you want to change. Changes to dates, names, group size, accommodation or services depend on availability, supplier conditions and ticket or permit restrictions. A request does not change your booking until the revised arrangements are agreed and confirmed.

We will explain any price difference, amendment charge or cancellation cost before you accept a change. Issued tickets may need to be cancelled and rebooked. Changes to group size or room sharing can affect the price for the remaining travellers. Asking about a change does not mean that you have accepted an additional charge.

7. Cancellation by you and refunds

To cancel all or part of a booking, write to [email protected] or your established booking contact. Include your booking reference and identify the travellers or services affected. Keep a copy of your notice. Its effective date is determined by when it reaches us under your contract and applicable law; it does not depend solely on when we acknowledge it. Follow up if you do not receive a response.

The cancellation conditions disclosed and accepted before booking apply. Charges can vary with the itinerary, notice given, necessary costs already incurred and non-refundable supplier commitments. Your written documents will identify the applicable rules; this website does not impose a universal cancellation percentage. We will explain the calculation and deductions without counting the same cost twice, and take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable losses.

Where a refund is due, we will confirm the amount, method and expected timing, and process it within any legally required period. Relevant recoveries from suppliers will be taken into account, but waiting for a supplier does not postpone a refund required by our contract or law. Bank processing may affect when the refund reaches your account. If your bank or payment provider converts it into another currency, its rates or fees may affect the amount shown on your statement.

Late arrival, missed services, early departure or choosing not to use a service may leave costs that cannot be recovered. This does not remove rights arising from our failure to provide an agreed service. If a cancellation affects shared rooms or group pricing, we will explain the consequences for the remaining travellers.

8. Changes or cancellation by Manjing Travel

We aim to deliver your agreed itinerary. Transport changes, closures and other operational issues may require adjustments. We will tell you about a significant change as soon as reasonably practicable and explain the available options. Material substitutions require your agreement where required by the contract or law.

If we cannot provide a material part of your trip, we will explain your options to accept an alternative or cancel the affected arrangements, together with any price difference, refund, assistance or compensation due. We will not treat a credit note or different trip as accepted without your agreement. Our responsibilities are not automatically limited to whatever a supplier agrees to return.

9. Events beyond reasonable control

Severe weather, natural disasters, government action, public health restrictions and major transport disruption can affect a trip. The effect on each party's obligations depends on the circumstances, the contract and applicable law. An event does not automatically remove responsibility simply because it is listed here.

We will explain the known impact, take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and provide assistance required by the contract and law. We will discuss possible alternatives, necessary additional costs and the basis for any cancellation or refund. Services not provided must be accounted for under the applicable rules. Contact your insurer about any cover for disruption or additional expenses.

10. Passports, visas, permits and traveller details

You are responsible for the documents required for your nationality, destinations and transit route, including a valid passport and any necessary visa, transit permission or entry document. Check current requirements with the relevant authorities and transport providers before booking and again before departure. General website guidance does not guarantee visa eligibility or entry.

If we agree to help with a visa or permit application, we will explain the scope of assistance, documents, fees and timing. Decisions remain with the issuing authority. Tell us promptly about a refusal or a change that could affect your trip so we can review the options and applicable booking conditions.

Names and document details used for reservations must match the documents you will travel with. Supply them accurately and by the agreed deadline. Send sensitive documents only through the collection method agreed with your travel contact. Allow enough time for check-in, connections and border formalities, and tell us about delays affecting an arranged transfer or service.

11. Accommodation, transport and suppliers

Your booking documents will describe the agreed accommodation category, room arrangements, transport and relevant service details. Website photographs and examples do not promise a particular room, view, vehicle or supplier unless that feature is expressly confirmed. Tell us which features are essential to your decision before booking.

Hotels, airlines, rail operators, guides, transport providers and activity operators may deliver parts of your trip. Relevant supplier rules, such as baggage limits, ticket restrictions and check-in requirements, apply where they have been properly incorporated into your arrangements. Their role does not remove responsibilities we have undertaken or duties imposed on us by law.

12. Health, accessibility and special requests

Tell us before booking about mobility, accessibility, dietary or other needs that affect the trip. Share only the information necessary to plan and provide the service. Some routes involve altitude, steps, long walks or remote places where access to medical help is limited. Seek appropriate medical advice about your fitness, medication, vaccinations and planned activities.

We will discuss practical limitations and confirm the arrangements we can provide. A request is not a guarantee that every supplier can meet it; an essential requirement should be expressly agreed in writing before you book. Tell us if your needs change so we can assess the available adjustments and any cost.

13. Travel insurance

We strongly recommend suitable travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation or repatriation, cancellation, interruption and personal belongings. Check that your policy covers your destinations, planned activities, altitude where relevant and any pre-existing conditions. You are responsible for understanding its limits, exclusions and claims process.

Insurance is not included unless your written quotation expressly states that it is. Any cover required for a particular supplier or activity will be explained before you commit to that service. Keep your insurer's emergency contact details accessible during the trip.

14. Travelling with children

A parent, legal guardian or appropriately authorised adult must arrange and accompany a minor's trip. Provide children's ages accurately where they affect fares, room arrangements, activities or admission rules. Check any consent documents required by border authorities, transport providers or accommodation suppliers.

Parents, guardians and accompanying adults remain responsible for supervision unless a specific supervision service has been expressly agreed. Permission to publish an identifiable child's photograph, video or story must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian as described in section 17.

15. Conduct, safety and personal belongings

Follow local laws, reasonable safety instructions and the rules of hotels, attractions and transport providers. Respect other travellers, staff, local communities, cultural sites and wildlife. Do not take part in an activity where doing so creates an unreasonable safety risk.

Serious misconduct or a safety risk may require us or a supplier to restrict participation or end a service. Any response and financial consequences must be reasonable and consistent with the contract and law. Keep your passport, money and valuables secure. Report loss, theft or damage promptly to the relevant provider or local authority, and tell us where you need assistance.

16. Optional activities and independent arrangements

Activities and services you purchase independently are outside your agreed Manjing Travel itinerary unless we expressly agree to include them. Check the provider, suitability, price, insurance and cancellation conditions before purchasing. Ask your travel contact if you are unsure who supplies a service or which agreement applies.

Allow realistic connection times for flights, accommodation or onward travel booked separately. We will help assess disruption affecting your arrangements, but any right to reimbursement or compensation depends on the circumstances and applicable obligations. This section does not remove our responsibility for services included in your contract.

17. Photography during your trip

With your permission, Manjing Travel may take and use photographs or videos of you during your trip on our website, social media and promotional materials. If you prefer not to be photographed or have your image used, please tell your travel consultant or guide at any time. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting us. For children, permission must be given by a parent or legal guardian.

18. Assistance, complaints and communication

If something goes wrong during your trip, tell your guide or established Manjing Travel contact as soon as reasonably possible so we can help while the issue can still be addressed. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services first.

Send complaints to [email protected], with your booking reference, relevant dates, the issue and the outcome you are seeking. Include useful supporting records without unnecessary sensitive information. We will review the matter and respond with our findings and proposed next steps. There is no automatic loss of your legal rights simply because a complaint was not made within a short deadline stated by us.

Use your established booking contact for important changes or cancellations and keep a written record. If you do not receive a response, follow up through the current contact details on our website. This complaints process does not prevent you from using a regulator, court or another lawful dispute resolution route.

20. Responsibility, applicable law and updates

We remain responsible for the services and obligations we undertake and for duties imposed by applicable law. Travel involves practical risks, but acknowledging them does not release us from our responsibilities. Nothing in these conditions excludes liability or removes consumer, travel or personal information rights where the law does not permit it. An invalid provision does not affect the remaining conditions to the extent they can lawfully continue to apply.

These general conditions are governed by the laws of mainland China, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules applicable to your circumstances. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve concerns. If a dispute remains unresolved, either party may use a court or other lawful procedure with jurisdiction; no compulsory arbitration arrangement is imposed by this page.

We may update these conditions as our services or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the version. Updates apply prospectively and do not automatically replace conditions already agreed for a confirmed booking. For questions, contact [email protected].
